1. Who we are
Octavyan is a university counseling platform operated by 36nine AI Transformation Partners. We provide educational guidance services to secondary school students (Grades 9 to 12) and their families.
2. Data we collect
We collect: student and parent names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, school and curriculum information, academic records uploaded by users, session recordings and transcripts (with explicit consent), assignment submissions, content engagement data, and counselor notes.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide personalized educational counseling services, including generating progress reports, matching students with counselors, and surfacing relevant university and career content.
4. Data security
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is strictly role-based. We do not share your data with third parties without explicit consent.
5. Your rights
You may request a full export of your data at any time from your dashboard. You may request deletion of your account, subject to a 30-day cooling period. You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Applicable law
This platform complies with UAE PDPL (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), GDPR where applicable, and COPPA for data involving minors. Where AI features are offered to users in the EU, the platform also aligns with the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689).
